In many instances, complete dentures are unstable due to a lack of supporting bone or the strength of a patients bite (chewing forces). In these patients, dental implants can be used to stabilize the prosthesis (denture) with 'snap'-type attachments. One part of the snap is anchored to the dental implant and the other part is located in the denture, itself. The patient can insert the denture and 'snap' it into place. Once in place, the patient can chew their food properly and comfortably.
