Robert M. Humphries, D.D.S., M.S., PC

Prosthodontics of Southwest Michigan

Dr. Humphries earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1985. He then graduated with a Master of Science (MS) Degree in Prosthodontics in 1988, also from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During his studies in the prosthodontics graduate program, Dr. Humphries also taught at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry at the graduate, undergraduate clinical and preclinical levels.

He continues to add to his expertise in prosthodontics through continuing education seminars and programs, held locally, nationally and internationally. He also enjoys lecturing on the local, state and national levels on topics relating to prosthodontics, and has lectured extensively on implant prosthodontics and dental implant procedures.

Dr. Humphries feels a strong responsibility to serve the profession of dentistry and holds, or has held for following offices;

Chairman of the Ethics and Dental Care Committee for Prosthodontics for the Michigan Dental Association

When he is not in the office, Dr. Humphries enjoys spending time with his wife and family. His hobbies include photography, bicycling, skiing, golf and reading.

Thomas B. Halpin, D.M.D.

Dr. Halpin was born and raised in the Kalamazoo area before earning his bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University. His dental journey started after his undergraduate studies when he began working alongside Dr. Humphries as a dental assistant, before entering dental school. In 2020 he earned his DMD degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. After graduation, he completed a 1-year residency in General Dentistry with an emphasis in Oral Surgery. He then returned to the Kalamazoo area, working part-time at our office, as well as a local general dental practice. In 2024, he was able to join us full-time and looks forward to providing the same care and attention to detail our patients have come to know with our office.

Dr. Halpin enjoys attending continuing dental education courses around the country, covering all aspects of dentistry in order to further develop his knowledge and clinical skills.

Outside the office, Dr. Halpin enjoys spending time with his wife and many pets! He can also be found at an ice rink (he played hockey for one of Michigan State's club teams) or out on the golf course.

We are very excited to have Dr. Halpin as a member of our dental team, providing our patients with the best possible dental care.

Marie

Marie has been with our practice since 1988 and is familiar with all aspects of the office. She is our Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator and is responsible for reviewing all proposed treatment with our patients at the time of their consultation appointment. Marie also coordinates patient appointments, referrals and/or treatment between our office and other specialty offices as they arise.

Jamie

Jamie is a graduate of Western Michigan University with over 20 years of experience within the medical field. She is an enthusiastic member of our front office team and enjoys helping patients with all aspects of their care. She has also earned her certification in dental radiography through the Michigan Dental Association, further enhancing her skills. Jamie brings positivity and support to everyone who enters our office.

Danielle

Daielle

Danielle is a graduate of Michigan State University with a business degree in Supply Chain Management. She has worked in our office since 2017 with experience in patient scheduling and specializing in insurance claims. She also assists with referral to other specialty offices in coordination with Marie.

Becki

Becki Becki is our registered dental hygienist and has been a practicing hygienist since 1990 in the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek area. She has been with our office since 2007. Becki has taken numerous continuing education courses throughout the years to keep abreast of any new techniques and /or technologies, which can improve her skills as a hygienist.

Darcy

Darcy She began working in the front office in 1993. After four years, she found that the clinical aspects of prosthodontics were more of an interest for her and then began assisting Dr. Humphries on a part-time basis. She is now his full-time dental assistant and has been our dental lab coordinator since 2000. She has also continued her studies and has her certification in dental radiography through the Michigan Dental Association. As well as assisting and coordinating our lab, she also assists Marie with discussing treatment options, recommended by Dr. Humphries, with our patients at their consultation appointment.

Madalyn

Darcy Madalyn joined our office in the summer of 2024 and quickly discovered her love for the dental field. She is currently enrolled at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and finds dentistry both interesting and exciting. Madalyn looks forward to growing with the team and besides assisting Dr. Humphries, she has also earned her certification in dental radiology through the Michigan Dental Association, further enhancing her dental skills. She is excited for what the future holds and is dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients.
